Learning About the NDIS and How It Can Assist
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started in 2013 to ensure individuals with disabilities receive the proper assistance. It offers payments for items such as therapies, equipment, and personal care, enabling individuals to live independently and live a more improved life.
The Impact So Far
- More than 646,000 Australians are assisted by the NDIS.
- Jobs for participants between the ages of 15–24 have increased by more than two times.
- 1 in 2 parents and carers are now in paid employment.
- Over 40% of 15+ participants are more engaged in their communities.
- The NDIS isn’t just about money, it’s about opening doors to possibilities, inclusion, and independence.
